SECTION VII

Future cities, ancient cities
stampa

The Ideal City of Urbino represents one of the most faithful reconstructions of the architecture described by Alberti in the De Re Aedificatoria. The new approach is applied not only to the views of the city, but also to the representation of elegant residences, as in the case of the two panels from the Perugino school or the Annunciation by Fra' Carnevale from the National Gallery of Washington.
